Saturday, May 12th, 2012 Departure for CWSF in PEI |
A big thank you to teachers, parents, judges and donors for your continued support of the fair.
The committee is hard at work planning for the upcoming fair.
Last year we had over 300 students from Windsor and Essex County create 197 projects for last year's fair. The top five projects from our fair went on to the 2011 Canada Wide Science Fair in Toronto.
Check out the list of important dates at the right and please email us at wrstef@gmail.com if you have any questions.
The WRSTEF is affiliated with Youth Science Canada and Youth Science Ontario the umbrella organizations for regional science fairs. Please take a moment to visit their websites as they have useful advice on how to conduct research and prepare an award winning project.
Changes in judging and in awards for WRSTEF 2012 will be implemented. These are in accordance with similar ones made by the Canadawide Science Fair.
The number of awards in any group of students (e.g. Grade 4, 5, 6, Junior, Intermediate or Senior) will be proportional to the number of students competing in that group. Judges will assign a numerical mark for each project. All marks in a student group will be ranked, and medals awarded by a review panel of judges.
The number of medals awarded will increase, and Honorable Mention certificates will be discontinued.
Ethics Guidelines have changed. See the new CWSF Ethics guidelines here.
Home schooled student must provide proof of homeschooling before registering. Please email us at wrstef@gmail.com for more info.
This year we are welcoming projects from students in Grades 4 to 12.
